Teaching is my passion but working around the water and boating is my favorite summer time activity. I like to continually challenge myself with new tasks and adventures. Whether its installing a 30 camera security system or refurbing an old boat I like to stay busy.
Social media can play a big part in the public's opinion of a school, business, or organization. Many times it is a team effort. I have worked with a team to create, maintain, multiple campuses and club's social media pages.
Online presence matters. A website often serves as the first impression for potential customers. A well-constructed and designed website can pay for itself many times over in new and repeat business. The site will educate potential customers, 24 hours a day 7 days a week, and it’s a way to market your business locally or around the world.
While working full time at Gulf Coast Complete I was in charge of our marketing and boat shows. Every January we would move into our roughly 5, 000 square feet booth in NRG Center for a week of fun with the Houston Boat Show. I handled everything from signage, videos, flyers, special events in our booth, set up, tear down, and more.
Security is always important. When Gulf Coast Complete was ready to secure its space with surveillance cameras there were many options available. After hours of research, quotes, and consulting with various companies. I took on the task of installing and setting up the camera system myself. We were able to cut the cost of an installation company in half. I installed 30 cameras inside and out in order to have full coverage of the 3-acre property and 25,000 square feet of shop space.
