Here you will find some of the tools I have used in my classroom to enrich learning through virtual and augmented reality. Some of these tools are paid and some are free. However they are all pretty awesome for students.
AR/VR Tools for the Classroom
Experience Real History, a San Antonio, Texas based education technology company, develops an array of fun and exciting historical apps and products for the retail and educational markets under the Experience Real History (ERH) brand. All products utilize innovative Augmented Reality to bring historical sites and figures to life.

The American Battlefield Trust preserves America’s hallowed battlegrounds and educates the public about what happened there and why it matters. They offer lessons, videos, virtual tours, apps, augmented reality experiences, and much more.
The Merge Cube Lets you hold digital 3D objects, enabling an entirely new way to learn and interact with the digital world.
Now students can explore a galaxy in the palm of their hand, hold fossils and ancient artifacts, explore a DNA molecule, investigate the Earth’s core, dissect a virtual frog, hold and share their own 3D creations, and so much more.
Google Cardboard allows students to experience virtual reality in a simple, fun, and affordable way. Get it, fold it and look inside to enter the world of Cardboard. It’s a VR experience starting with a simple viewer anyone can build or buy. Once you have it, you can explore a variety of apps that unfold all around you. And with plenty of viewer types available, you're sure to find one that fits you just right.
Everyone knows YouTube, but did you know many creators now have virtual reality videos students can view right from your classroom. Students will need access to YouTube and a VR headset to get the best experience. Don't have a VR headset? That is ok, these videos are still great experiences for your class. You can interact with the video using your mouse and class room projector, smart board, or Chromebook..
